DESCRIPTION
DuPont’s untreated Nafion Membrane is used to separate the anode and cathode compartment of Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cells. It allows the exchange/passage of protons and electricity through the MEA, thus completing the circuit. DuPont’s Nafion membranes are based on chemically stabilised perfluorosulfonic acid (PSFA) / polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) copolymer in the acid (Hâº) form, and exhibit substantially lower flouride ion released compared to the non-stabilised polymer, indicating an improved chemical durability. Nafion PFSA membranes are widely used for PEM fuel cells and water electrolysers. GasHub is the authorised dealer for DuPont’s Nafion PFSA Membranes.
